Welcome Back!!
We have had a great year so far, and we want to continue for the final term! Some of the activities we will be doing for years 2-6 are: Badminton, Tennis, Athletics and finish the final 2 weeks at the end of term with Games. I am really looking forward to our Sports Day which will be June 8th for Nursery - year 2 and June 9th for years 3-6. There will be much more information about this big event coming soon. Kindy will continue to have Karate lessons until the end of April and then we will begin our Athletics unit. Year 1 will be learning a variety of base games along with hand-eye and foot-eye coordination games for the next 4 weeks. It is getting much warmer out and all of the classes have been reminded about bringing a water bottle to class and hat if they would like.

Our dance unit has been a big success! I am so pleased with the students overall effort and participation. So far, they have learned 4 new dances and they even created their own circle dance. For the next couple of weeks, the students will be doing movement stations and action word dance. I will be away for a few days this week and next, but the dancing will continue along with a game of dodgeball! Make sure you get your kids to teach you their dances!

Hello!
Just a quick note about PE lessons....
Judo has been a big success for years 5 & 6. We are coming to the end of our unit Feb. 12, so they are starting to put together their Judo composition for final exam. In year 3, the students have enjoyed karate. For some, a basic introduction and for others who have been in karate class before, a good review. All other classes have been doing gymnastics. We have worked on such skills as: log rolls, forward and backward rolls, balance beam, cartwheels, balancing and tri-pods. The next two weeks we will finish the unit with gymnastic stations and adding a sequence of skills.
